If you are using up more calories than your consuming then you are burning fat, if not the additional calories are stored as body fat. If you think the way to lose weight is by way of starvation you would be very wrong. Your body will fall into survival mode and your basic metabolism will slow making it harder to burn calories. It is essential that your body receives all the necessary nutrients in order to remain healthy.
Which ever training package you chose will encoporate nutritional advice, however if you select the nutrition service, the guidance becomes far more advanced, below is an insight into what is covered.
The first stage in the process is to complete a lifestyle evaluation, displaying your current activities and your day to day patterns. From this I will measure your energy expenditure and calculate your resting metabolic rate to produce an ideal diet in terms of grams of macronutrients.
I will also provide you with a food diary to complete in detail. From this i will be able to analyse the composition of your consumned food / drinks using weekly averages.
We will discuss the results in detail and decide on which of the fatty and calorific foods need either reducing in quantity or substituting for a more healthy option. Not only will your food content be analysed, but the portion sizes and meal regularity and eating times, all of which lead to a healthier more balanced diet. The changes will be under constant review on a weekly basis. This service needs to be for a minimum of 6 weeks for you and your body to feel the benefit, however it can run for as long as you wish.
Most people's diet contains too much fat, or they are absorbing too many calories. You don't even need to be over weight or be suffering from an exsisting health problem, you are probably still absorbing too much fat and calorific food. With this 6 week programme you will be eating and feeling healthier reducing the risk of future health problems.
